Terragene Bowie-Dick Test Cards 120/Pk

Terragene Chemdye® Bowie-Dick Test Cards (BD8948X) monitor the effectiveness of air removal in vacuum-assisted (pre-vacuum) steam sterilizers. Each Type 2 chemical indicator card changes from purple to uniform green when air removal and steam penetration are adequate. Designed for cycles of 3.5 minutes at 134 °C or 4 minutes at 132 °C. The back of each card can be written on and kept as a permanent sterilizer record. Box of 120 cards. For professional use; follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.

When to Use

Run a Bowie-Dick test daily in an empty sterilizer before the first load, and after installation, relocation, malfunction or major repairs. Use with a Bowie-Dick card holder, placed horizontally on the bottom rack near the drain. Do not use in gravity-displacement cycles.

Storage

Store at 10–30 °C and 30–80% relative humidity, away from sterilizing agents and out of direct light.
