Product Overview

The Gracey 17/18 curette is a double-ended, site-specific instrument engineered for subgingival scaling and root planing. Its blade is offset at approximately 70° to the terminal shank, so only the lower cutting edge is used — this gives correct blade-to-root angulation with minimal soft-tissue trauma and superior tactile feedback compared with universal curettes.

Clinical Application

The Gracey 17/18 is indicated for posterior teeth — distal surfaces. A modification of the 13/14 with an elongated terminal shank and reduced blade angle, improving access to distal surfaces of molars and deeper periodontal pockets.
