Product Overview

The 3M ESPE Single Bond Universal Adhesive (41282) is a one-bottle dental adhesive that can be used in total-etch, selective-etch and self-etch modes, so a single product covers the full range of bonding protocols in the operatory. Its formulation combines MDP phosphate monomer, a Vitrebond copolymer and silane, which allows it to bond directly to enamel, dentin, composite, zirconia, glass ceramic and metal without a separate primer or activator. The low film thickness helps the restoration seat accurately, and the single-coat, one-step application keeps chair time short. Supplied as a 5 mL refill vial.

Note: 3M markets this adhesive as Single Bond Universal in North America and as Scotchbond™ Universal in other regions. The formulation and reference number (41282) are the same, so bottles may carry either name depending on the production lot.
